What Almexa is
Almexa Aluminio, S.A. de C.V. is the industrial products division of Grupo Vasconia, S.A.B., a Mexican industrial group founded in 1911 and listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange. Almexa comes from the merger of the Mexican subsidiaries of Alcan and Reynolds with Almexa Aluminio and IMASA (Industria Mexicana del Aluminio), and has made aluminum in Mexico since 1944.
It operates three plants: Cuautitlán Izcalli, with direct-chill (DC) casting; Ecatepec, with continuous casting (CC); and Veracruz, in the Bruno Pagliai industrial park, with direct-chill casting. It is the only integrated flat-rolled aluminum mill in Mexico: it melts, casts and rolls the metal.

What we learned
Some years ago a previous management oriented the plant almost entirely to the export market, and domestic customers were left unattended. That period is over. Today the sales team has a name, a phone number and responsibility per product line, and this page exists so you can check.
