About Almexa
We are the mill. We have melted, cast and rolled aluminum in Mexico since 1944, and we sell it with a name, a phone number and a mill test report.
Almexa Aluminio, S.A. de C.V. is the industrial products division of Grupo Vasconia, S.A.B. It was born from the merger of the Mexican subsidiaries of Alcan and Reynolds with Almexa Aluminio and IMASA, and operates three plants in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Ecatepec and Veracruz.

- Aluminum manufacturing begins in Mexico
Aluminio Industrial Mexicano starts with aluminum foil production.
- Alcan and Reynolds in Mexico
The Mexican subsidiaries of Alcan and Reynolds merge; IMASA, Industria Mexicana del Aluminio, becomes a leading rolling company in Mexico and Central America.
- Entry into the sector
Grupo Vasconia acquires IMASA and later Almexa, integrating them into a single rolling mill.
- Third plant
The Bruno Pagliai industrial park plant opens to enter new markets, including automotive.

Sustainability
Aluminum recycles without losing its properties, and recycling it uses about 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminum. Almexa recovers customer scrap in a closed loop and returns it to the furnace. Recycled content per product and carbon footprint figures will be published with their calculation method once audited.
