Hot-rolled aluminum band for re-rollers
Aluminum band about 0.31 in (8 mm) thick, straight off our hot mill after breakdown of the slab. It is feedstock for re-rollers and cold rolling mills in the United States and Mexico, with documented melt-and-cast origin.
Hot band is a mill's intermediate product: the cast slab is reduced on the hot mill to about 0.31 in (8 mm) and coiled. The buyer cold rolls it to final gauge.
