Aluminum coil slit narrow on our slitting lines, to the width your roll former or press runs. It is the mill's newest product line.
Aluminum strip, also called slit coil, is a narrow coil made by slitting a wide coil lengthwise. It feeds roll formers, progressive dies and automatic lines.

The strip comes from coil we roll ourselves: width, temper and edge quality are controlled in the same plant, without going through a service center.
Planning the slit from mill width reduces edge trim, and that trim goes back to our furnace.

What is the difference between aluminum strip and coil?
It is the same material: strip is coil slit narrow, to the width of your part. You order it when your line can't run the full coil width.
What is the narrowest aluminum strip Almexa makes?
It depends on gauge and alloy. State the final width and gauge in the quote and the sales executive confirms whether it is feasible and at what tolerance.
