An aluminum circle, or blank, is a flat piece blanked from rolled coil, with the diameter and gauge required by the drawing die of a pot, a pan, a steamer or a lighting fixture body.

Which aluminum alloy is used for pots and pans?
For deep drawing, 1050 or 1100 in O temper: maximum ductility. For parts that need more rigidity, such as thick bases or large steamers, 3004 or 3105. Thickness runs from 0.06 to 0.157 in depending on the part.
Why does an aluminum pan base warp?
Insufficient thickness for the diameter, an alloy too soft for the use, or residual stress from rolling. The fix is usually more gauge or moving from 1100 to 3004; the sales executive reviews it with your die.
Are Almexa circles suitable for food contact?
Yes. Almexa is FSSC 22000 certified and makes circles for the NSF professional line. State in the quote that the part will have food contact.
