Painted, or pre-painted, aluminum sheet is cold-rolled coil coated in line with a baked paint system on one or both sides, so the formed part leaves the press with its final finish.

Frequently asked questions
Why does paint peel off aluminum when bent?
Three causes: a temper too hard for the bend radius, incomplete paint curing or poor substrate pretreatment. Because Almexa makes coil and coating in the same plant, temper and curing are matched to the bend your process makes.
Which alloy is used for pre-painted aluminum?
3105, which combines enough strength for profiles and panels with good formability and a uniform paintable surface.
Can Almexa paint custom or short-run colors?
Quoted by volume: standard colors have lower minimums; custom colors require a minimum lot the sales executive confirms.
