Aluminum foil in alloys 8011 and 8079, 15 to 51 microns, lacquered, embossed, printed or laminated with polyethylene. For yogurt lids, beverage induction seals, confectionery wrappers and packaging laminates. Converted in Mexico under FSSC 22000.
Food packaging foil is aluminum under 60 microns converted with lacquers, inks, embossing or polyethylene to provide a barrier against light, moisture, oxygen and microorganisms, and to seal against glass, plastic or paperboard.

Why buy it from the mill
A seal that won't bond or a lid that tears are lacquer, temper or gauge problems. When foil is rolled and converted in the same chain, they are fixed at the plant, not in an email to another continent.

Frequently asked questions
Which foil is used for yogurt lids?
8011 or 8079 foil, 30 to 40 microns, with heat-seal lacquer to polystyrene or polypropylene on one side and printing with varnish on the other. Embossing is added for body and appearance.
Is Almexa's foil suitable for food contact?
The conversion process runs under the FSSC 22000 food-safety system and the lacquers and inks applied are suitable for indirect food contact. State the exact application in the quote.
Why doesn't an induction seal bond?
Incompatibility between the foil lacquer and the container material, wrong induction temperature or time, or insufficient lacquer weight. The sales executive asks for the container substrate to select the right lacquer.
